aPlicativa and Carao Ventures sign agreement for joint Research and Development

San Jose, Costa Rica. May 11th, 2014 – aPlicativa has signed an agreement for joint R&D (Research and Development) with Carao Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in Costa Rica. This agreement will open the doors for the development of new and innovative products, creating a synergy with the key strengths of both companies and taking advantage of Carao’s R&D network and aPlicativa’s experience in mobile technologies.

According Carao Ventures, “the process of developing innovative technology based on iOS and Android applications required a partner with a high degree of technical knowledge, proven experience implementing and launching such applications to the market, and the ability to execute projects according to very precise and demanding specifications. The decision to choose aPlicativa was the product of analyzing many different options, and after the first few weeks of joint work the experience is exceeding the expectations”.

Joint projects are now in progress with dedicated resources from both companies, and the results of these endeavors will be communicated in due course.

Founded in 2009, aPlicativa is a leading mobile software company, specialized in marketing and end-user solutions on different technological platforms such as Apple iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Carao Ventures is an early stage venture capital firm that operates a startup accelerator program and an angel investor network in San José, Costa Rica. The company was founded in 2012 by Allan Boruchowicz and Adrián García with the intention of providing the necessary tools, network, knowledge and environment to enable new companies to maximize economic and social value created by their ventures.
